“Thank you for bringing such a beautiful group of life affirming sisters together this weekend for the deep sharing and learning. I am still processing the total mind-body- heart and soul experience. Wow! It’s lifted me to a new and unexpected level! I so appreciate you for making it happen! Your farm and family were a big part of that experience and hold a special place in my heart as I felt embraced by all of you and by the land itself! It is apparent to me that the land is happy to have all of you as its stewards for 30 years! The food was delicious and so nutritious and well prepared! Holding you in my grateful heart.”

In these turbulent times, plus the chaos and stress of our daily lives it’s so easy to deprioritize caring for ourselves and listening to the needs of our bodies and spirits. Supporting our overtaxed nervous systems and making time to really connect with nature and community is powerful.

About Nancy
I have been living and loving the land here at Heartsong Farm for almost 40 years, which has been a great blessing. I look forward to sharing our peaceful place on the planet with all of you.
I’m a passionate herbalist, holistic health coach, yoga instructor, natural foods cook, and avid gardener who loves sharing these teachings and practices with others. I delight in guiding people on their path to finding more peace, joy, and vitality.
I am grateful to have the opportunity to share some of the ancient and timeless teachings of Herbal Medicine as well as Ayurveda and Yoga with you. My studies and practice of these teachings have made such a powerful impact in my life. They have really changed the trajectory of my path and helped me to stay saner and healthier. In addition to the valuable knowledge and skills gained, each of the groups I have studied with along the way has enriched my life.
Our beautiful and needy world is in a crisis and ever-shifting, and now more than ever, more practical wisdom and earth-based skills are essential. When we take time to build community, strengthen our connection to the Divine, the Earth, and our own inner wisdom, this benefits ourselves and the planet. I commend you for following your heart and committing to learn new things. This course has been transformational for many; I hope it will be a blessing for you.
I’m happy to be co-teaching this retreat with Gracie. She is an excellent presenter, is passionate about sharing these skills, and has a great love for the earth.
About Gracie
Gracie is a home herbalist, gardener, and lifelong student. She’s a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, and has spent time traveling, studying, and assisting with herbal events.
Thanks to her mom, Nancy, Gracie has used herbs as her primary form of medicine since she was a baby and has learned a great deal about how to stay healthy and happy using the plants. She currently lives and works on her family’s apple and herb farm where she grew up, Heartsong Farm and Lost Nation Orchard, in northern New Hampshire. She helps manage the gardens and orchards as well as hosting and teaching educational programs about herbalism, orcharding, and sustainable living. She is deeply committed to continuing to learn and grow her own knowledge of the plants, and to find ways to share her knowledge and passion for herbs and the earth with others.
Gracie also works for, Taproot, the local non-profit organization supporting economic viability, restorative food systems and environmental education.

Hone your identification skills, relax and be nourished by the land and gifts of the Earth while sharing in the camaraderie of fellow plant lovers.
From Nancy: It will also be my pleasure to stroll through the gardens, meadows and woods with all of you acquainting you with my favorite plant and fungi friends who I have lived alongside for over 35 years.
From Gracie: There is nothing I love to do more than to spend time with the plants whether it’s identifying, harvesting, making medicine and cooking or, best of all, just being with them ~ and sharing that time with others is pure bliss.
